Today (27th November 2016) is the day the van moved on to its new owners

:-
(

I have had a couple of people ask what is wrong with the van (I guess my previous posts have been too much info). So, in a nutshell, to get the van on the road, it will need the following:
* fit the passenger sliding door handle (brand new genuine one included, but needs colour coding, or not, before fitting)
* solve the running issue. With the distributor in the correct position it will not start. Advance the distributor and it starts but runs too fast. I am guessing it is either a faulty sensor or possibly something wrong with the distributor. New dizzy from Subaru is just under £300 or there is a second hand one on ebay for £90 approx delivered from Germany.
* repair the leaking gearbox sump and top up with transmission fluid (some of the bolts would do up, then go loose again, so it may be possible to replace a couple of bolts, worse case it might need a couple re threading with larger bolts)
* investigate the clutch temp light (this might have been due to low transmission fluid, or might need clearing now the gearbox has been repaired,. the battery has been off for several months now, so it might have even cleared itself)
*put it through an MOT. (As it has sat a long time the brakes may need attention, although I have always left it with the handbrake off, gearbox in park, and there are hub caps covering the discs. When I have needed to move it, it has moved easily, so they may be fine, but this is the only other thing I can think of that might need checking before MOT)
That should be everything. Any questions please message me

FOR SALE!!
Unfortunately i think the time has come to sell the Domingo :-(
Another 2 months have passed since i cleaned it (it's on my parents drive and they keep hinting that it needs to move!).. and unfortunately i cannot see myself finding any time soon to work on it. I am in the middle of renovating my house, and have several other projects (another van, an impreza, jetski, trailer and most importantly my girlfriends car,. she keeps asking me to get on with hers, as its front bumper is currently held on with cable ties! :-)
If you are viewing this page, you probably know about the Domingo's already (the big brother to the Sambar). Currently on Ebay there are 4 for sale (a non runner for £2180, 2 standard Domingo's for £5,385 & £5,985, and 1 VW camper look alike for £8,999).
I would like the Domingo to go to a good home (as you can see below i have invested a lot of time and effort getting it to where it is) and i am not in a rush to sell (i think telling my parents it is for sale will keep them happy for a while ;-)
I will include a load of spares (if you scroll down you will see a post with pics of spares i stripped from another Domingo,. everything from glass to window motors to seat belts etc)
I also have a spare set of Sambar VW bumpers and side skirts (in a different style, with risers), which i will include with the sale (they have been knocked around in storage a bit and will need a bit of work before fitting - see attached pic)
STILL TO DO:
to get the van running and road legal it will require the following
* fitting the passenger sliding door handle (brand new genuine one included, but needs colour coding before fitting)
* solve the running issue (i am guessing it is either a faulty sensor or possibly something wrong with the distributor,. see below for info on the issue, or feel free to ask any questions)
* repair the leaking gearbox sump (some of the bolts would do up, then go loose again, so it may be possible to replace a couple of bolts, worse case it might need a couple re threading with larger bolts)
* investigate the clutch temp light (this might have been due to low transmission fluid, or might need clearing now the gearbox has been repaired,. the battery has been off for 2 months now, so it might have even cleared itself).
I think that is everything. I will try to get to the van soon and record a video of it running when you advance the distributor, and check if the clutch temp light is still showing.
BODYWORK
* It has been keyed down the passengers side. it is through the red paint in areas, but not through the original green paint, so it is not a rust issue (i have had it sat for many years and it has not started to rust)
* The front bumper is a bit cracked (see pics). It can be left as it is,.. my intention was to repair it or replace with the 'riser' style bumper (included)
* Rear bumper is a bit scuffed and dented. Again it can be left as it is, or repainted or modified... I will include the 'riser' style rear bumper and rear panel. They are designed for a Sambar and will need modifying to fit the Domingo (the rear bumper of the Domingo protrudes further than the Sambar to accommodate the larger engine / exhaust). I have attached a couple of pics of another Domingo with the rear end conversion. i was planning on doing something similar (but less bulky looking).
FOR SALE
So you are buying an M reg, 1994, Subaru Domingo, 1.2L ECVT automatic with a VW bodykit and 50's style 'American diner' seats. It was imported in 2011. I am told it had full service history before being imported (though mostly in Japanese!) and includes all import/export documents. when it arrived it had a full service including cambelt. I am the 2nd uk owner and have carried out all of the work detailed below. It has the faults listed above. The mileage is 58,250 (The import docs show the mileage was 87638km and converted to 54097miles when it arrived in the uk, 19/03/2011). It will include all the spares below, the extra vw bumpers and skirts, the service manual (in german) and subaru justy ecvt manuals (in english). It is a non runner and will require a trailer/flatbed to take it away. It is located in NW7 London. Viewings welcome (but serious buyers only as it is a 1hr45min round trip to meet you at the van). Running, the Domingo's are worth over £5k and a lot more with the vw conversion. I will sell everything for £3600 ono.
I think i have covered everything :-) but any questions feel free to comment or pm me. Thanks!
